Anthony Adams House offers various services to youth and their families to improve their emotional stability and self-sufficiency. We envision giving all youth every opportunity available to them to ensure success.

OUR PROGRAMS

The basic center program

Through the basic center program, Anthony Adams House helps create and strengthen community-based programs that meet the immediate needs of runaway and homeless youth 12 up to 18. When possible, Anthony Adams House tries to reunite young people with their families or locate appropriate alternative placements.

Our Basic Center provides the following services:

21 day Emergency Shelter Care
Case Management Services
Transportation to school and medical appointments
Food, clothing donations and bus passes
Access to laundry services
Individual, group and family counseling
Crisis Intervention
Education assistance
Referrals for additional services
Aftercare services

THE BASIC CENTER PROGAM

Through the basic center program, Anthony Adams House helps create and strengthen community-based programs that meet the immediate needs of runaway and homeless youth under 18 years old. When possible, Anthony Adams House tries to reunite young people with their families or locate appropriate alternative placements.

• Crisis Intervention
• Recreation programs
• Aftercare services for youth after they leave the shelter
• In the near future, 21 days of shelter stay

OUR PROGRAMS

Transitional Living Program

In the near future, Anthony Adams House will offer the Transitional Living Program which provides homeless youth with stable, safe living accommodations for up to 21 months. The Transitional Living Program provides services to help young people between the ages of 16-22 develop skills necessary to move to independence and life as healthy productive adults.

Services offered through our transitional living program include:

• Money management, budgeting, consumer education, use of credit
• Parenting skills (Youth that qualify for the Maternity Group Homes program only)
• Interpersonal skill-building
• Educational advancement
• Job attainment skills
• Mental and physical health care
• Individual and/or group counseling and parent/child counseling

OUR PROGRAMS

Street Outreach Program

Anthony Adams House Street Outreach Program works with homeless, runaway and street youth to help them find stable housing and services. Focused on developing relationships between outreach workers and young people that allow them to rebuild connections with caring adults. The ultimate goal is to prevent the sexual exploitation and abuse of youth on the streets.

Anthony Adams House street outreach services include:

• Street based education and outreach
• Access to emergency shelter
• Survival aid
• Treatment and counseling
• Crisis intervention
• Follow-up support
